• Who We Are : ABHIMANI FOUNDATION, Bobbili is a Charitable Organisation. It is a Non-Profitable Organisation engaging in Community Developmental activities in the Remote and Backward area of Vizianagaram District. ABHIMANI FOUNDATION has been started and functioning with the guidance of the like minded, well experienced, honest, service minded and committed personalities of the Society. It started functioning from July 2006 formally but secured authenticity from 29-7-2008 with utmost concern over  creation of awareness on the introduction and implementation of Social Welfare Schemes being envisaged by the State and Central Government for the benefit, upliftment and elevation of the Poor, down trodden and remote area people in the entire  district of Vizianagaram. For the time being it started activities initially in Parvathipuram Revenue Divisional area.

Blood Donation awareness and Collection Camps:

Keeping Continuous track in 15 Mandals of Parvathipuram Division of Vizianagaram District conducted awareness camps on the importance of Donation of Blood and its utilization through Blood Bank inturn, at times of need. In such a way the Abhimani Foundation could collect Blood from the Donors amounting to  124 units through Red Cross Society, Parvathipuram . Our Organistion paying continuous efforts to intensify the programme in all the villages of Parvathipuram Division and because of this thing there is gradual increase in the collection and utilization of the Blood through Blood Banks

Awareness camps on the Prevention of H.I.V/AIDs and Social treatment towards who are suffering from H.I.V

               H.I.V/AIDs is identified to be a dreadly Disease. But as we know pretty well, it could be prevented if indiscriminate and illusive sexual relations or discouraged and disposable needles for Injunctions are encouraged.

So much so ill treatment towards those who area already suffering from H.I.V/AIDs should be discouraged and every body shall have to be made very kind and good towards them. It should also be made clear to one and all that it would be their social responsibility to treat the AIDs patients on par with them with out getting indulged in sexual courses with such patients.

In order to make aware of the above things the Abhimani Foundation conducted  5 Kilometers Maradan Run involving the Youth, Officials, Non-Officials, and other interesting public of the society with much stress to the point “keep living every Human being in the H.I.V/AIDs free Society”  and also treat H.I.V/AIDs affected persons on par with them selves with out any discrimination. This Maradan run has been received by the general public with much applause in Bobbili, Parvathipuram and Seethanagaram Mandal Head quarters besides conducting general awareness camps in Tribal and Rural areas of Parvathipuram, JM Valasa and Bobbili mandals. Medical Camps:

               Though we are in 21^st Century, still there exist the practice of Consulting the local un qualified Medical practitioners (NATUVYDHULU) by the Tribal and other Rural folk in the area due to illiteracy and innocence which results in mortality of Child, Pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and age old people in the remote areas causing much annoyance. To get occurrence of such incidents avoided infuture, we have conducted intensive awareness camps. Because of this thing our Foundation could educate much more rural Tribal folk to attend Government dispensaries (PHCs, CHC’s, Area Hospitals etc) for medical assistance at times of need whether it is emergency or normal.

Also the Foundation has been started with a Noblel view addressing all the problems that weaker and middle class section people in the society are facing in their life on this ethical earth. Though we attained independence about 60 years ago, there remain still certain villages in remote areas with out any conveyance facility. The remote area people have been suffering from Health hazards for want of conveyance facility.

As a part of those Health camps we could make 1364 patients relieved of their doubts about their health that created by the local traditional and inexperienced medical practitioners. Now we can see in them the happiness out of satisfaction due to Medical camp conducted by our Organisation.

 Eye care awareness cum operation camps

Conducted Eye awareness campaigns by deploying Technicians for primary checkup and to direct the patients who are suffering from cataract and other several diseases requiring surgery to the Eye camps organized through the NRI, Hospital, Tagarapuvalasa and local Eye Hospitals in the rural areas of Parvathipuram, Bobbili, Seethanagaram, Badangi, Therlam, Rambhadrapuram, Salur mandals and taken up Eye Operations to all those who are in need.

National Integrity Programmes:

In Order to maintain peace and National Integrity, conducted 5 Kilometers Maradan Run race with in the limits of Bobbili Town in which we could mobilize the youth, Sportsmen, general Public, Officials and Non-Officials etc all over the District to participate in it. Besides conducted sports events and games mobilizing the labour from all sectors grown up and age-old people thousands of number and made the programme a grand success.  

Skills and Personality Development Programmes for the educated youth:

The ABHIMANI FOUNDATION conducted 60 days courses imparting training in Spoken English and Personality Development for a period of One year continuously.Somuch so the trainees who were under going training in Spoken English could secure better positions to prosecute their higher education.

District level CHESS Open Tournament

With a view to create awareness on importance of Chess game, our Organisation has conducted the District level OPEN Chess Tournament at Bobbili under the  guidance and  close supervision  of Dist Chess Association members on Dt8-8-2009 & 9-8-2009.

Environmental Protection Camps

Keeping in view the constant increase in the Global warming day by day targeting the decay of entire Globe, the Abhimani Foundation, taking a serious view of it, continuously propagating importance of avoiding of the  usage of fuels and other inputs that generate Green House Gases which cause global warming in every village periodically  being conducted by our Foundation in  the towns and major villages of Parvathipuram divisional area.

Dist level Drawing Competitions

It is one of rhe primary responsibilities of each and every citizen to protect our Culture, Tradition, ethics and epics. which are nothing but roll models for leading our lives spotless. The History of a state will live long when it is inaugurated through Fine Arts. We can find the ancient history & Culture in the world in the shape of Sculpture and drawings painted with the colours being obtained from the nature in the caves and hills just like what we find in Ajanth, Yellora etc caves depicted by our ancient people. We can also find changes that the Globe under goes day by day and such changes are required to be depicted to be lives long to make the future generation known of such developments on the earth. For which the interest on Fine Arts is required to be inculcated in the minds of the tenderhood to make such an attempt to depict the changes through Fine Arts all over the world in the Caves etc, with much focus to the Global warming Keeping inview the above, Our Foundation has conducted District level Drawing competitions among primary school children in which 520 kids have participated. This competition costs Rs.38,100/-.

The Abhimani Foundation has under taken this task in order to make the child’s aware of the importance of Fine Arts and to improve their skills in Communication of their views through Fine Arts.

Assistance to Old age people:

Extended assistance to the poor widows and oldage people i.e 56 in number at Gunnathotavalasa village by supplying them blankets and sarees besides rendering financial assistance at times of need

Plantation PROGRAMMES:

Having been inspired of the Central Govt. Programme, as a part of measure to avoid Environmental imbalance, got Planted about 920 plants onTank Bunds and Village area of Latchayyapeta of Seethanagaram Mandal, 440 Plants at Rajeru village of Badangi Mandal,300 plants in YKM Nagar, Parvathipuram, 25 plants at Sangam street , Chakali bund and TR Colony 12 plants of Municipal area of Bobbili Mandal area where it is vulnerable for Pollution.

Srop Polytheen Awareness Programmes:

Inview of to create awareness on Environmental imbalance the Abhimani Foundation intends to form  Eco Friendly child clubs in Bobbili, Seethanagaram, Makkuva, Badangi, Bobbili, Parvathipuram and RB Puram mandal,  with children   in 19 Public and Private high schools, i.e Bhasyam, SH School, Vijetha, 7thday, Nobel, Pottisriramulu High schools of Bobbili Muncipal area and, ZP Schools of Badangi, RB Puram, Rajeru, Nrasimhunipeta, Piridi,  Penta,  Paradi, seethanagaram, Makkuva, Sambara schools and Jr. Collage. Seethanagaram, Kasturibha Girls High school, Busaivalasa, Kotasirlam Primary school of RB Puram mandal etc, conducted camps and sent a message to that effect to their parants through them which yielded good result in Bobbili Muncipal aera.

STOP Polytheen Rallies

To avoid Environmental imbalance  we are conducted STOP Polytheen Mega rallies in Bobbili nearly 5000 members , RB Puram nearly  1300 members and Balijipeta nearly  600 members etc and also successfully educate the public on eradication of POLYTHEEN USAGE. Now we are proudly says in Bobbili successfully implemented 100% polytheen ban with the support of Bobbili Municipality also in RB Puram and Balijipeta panchayat areas.

Mosquito eradication Awareness Programmes:

As we all know pretywell most of the diseases are being infected because of the wide spread of mosquitoes. Somuch so the negligence, recklessness and unawareness about the maintenance of cleanliness in and around their dwellings on the part of the human beings is the sole cause of the wide spread of mosquitoes, that causes, inturn malaria, pyloria, chickenguniya and typhoid etc.

Because of the above facts the Abhimani Foundation has conducted awareness camps in the villages  to make these villages free mosquitoe Zones.

Eye Donations Publicity Programme:

“SARVENDRIYANAM NAYANAM PRADHANAM”

According to the said aryokthi our Foundation has taken initiative to propagate the importance of the Donation of Eyes, immediately on demise ,with a slogan that ”Donate Eyes Live Twice” . Being inspired of our slogan somany people came forward and offered their Eyes for  Donation in writing through Abhimani Charity club.

Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation awareness:

If we want to keep good health we shall have to invariably use purified drinking water and maintain neat and clean environments.

Our villagers are habituated to consume open well waters and to utilize either of  the road margins of their villages as public latrines  with out minding to the diseases  , that would be generated due to in sanitary condition prevailing in and around the village.

Because of the above facts our Foundation conducted campaigns in the villages to create awareness about the maintenance of sanitation and usage of safety Drinking water, where there are no protected water supply schemes functioning, by using boiled water to avoid epidemics and other diseases.

Malaria prevention Medical camps

The Maleria is becoming rampant in the tribal pockets of Vizinagaram District, expecially in Parvathipuram Division area though N.M.E. Programme is still on for prevention, because of the carelessness and ignorance on the part of the general public towards maintances of clean and green environments in and around their dwelling, though the Governmental Organisations intensively movedup eradicate Malaria. In this contest, our Organisation started intensifying the eradication programme moving briskly in the public as the members of the family of their own regularly and thus created confidence that our Foundation as has been struggling for the betterment of their health the public stands keeping their environments clean and we can expect better result in the near future.

Blindness Eradication awareness camps

In order to make the general public to be more generous, Kind enough and philanthropic, conducted intensive camps in the Parvathipuram Divisional area and treached them of the sacredness in opting for donation of eyes to the needy which allow them deaths too.

Musical concert of Blind

Development of mankind is the motto o every religion. Every human being should develop man kind in them in order to buildup better human society. Child is the father of a man. We can make a few grownup people to some extent to be good with much more difficulty. We can make the children dutiful responsible and good citizens duly inculcating in them the nature of mankind and humanity in their tender hood.

Our Foundation has takenup initiative to conduct a Musical concert with Blind children at Bobbili, Parvathipuram to educate them the importance of Donation of Eyes, after death and extension of their helping hand to the mentally, physically challenged, disabled, Socially and economically backward children. This programme has been conducted with the assistance of Asian AID School for the Blind, Bobbili.

Mother & Child care awareness:

While the success of several government schemes has helped reduce maternal mortality and improve new born care in India, it has still a long way to go to eradicate maternal mortality and curb infant mortality or address the needs of post-partum mothers. Increased demand for care in public health facilities has not been met with a comparable expansion of healthcare services.

Doctors, nurses, and midwives are in short supply, and as a result, women who opt for institutional deliveries are often discharged from facilities just hours after giving birth. Awareness is lacking and only half of expectant mothers in our country receive any kind of postnatal care, and most never receive counseling in newborn care or the importance of breastfeeding. Education in family planning and sexual health is likewise lacking.

Abhimani Foundation has come forward to help bridge this gap in mother & child health It aims at looking at various issues from encouraging spacing in births to providing pre and ante-natal care to females to creating awareness on nutrition, breastfeeding, immunization and many more issues.

With continued support from our network facilities, Abhimani  Foundation is committed to provide awareness on  healthcare to underprivileged wherever practically and logistically possible.

Our mission is to provide leadership, information, and education leading to the enhancement of health and quality of life through the suppression of mosquitoes and other vector-transmitted diseases, and the reduction of annoyance levels caused by mosquitoes and other vectors and pests of public health importance

The emergence and spread of West Nile Virus may be the first in a series of exotic diseases imported due to the world wide increase in eco-tourism and international air travel. Malaria,  Chikungunya Virus and dengue fever are but a plane flight away, and public health officials at all levels are becoming increasingly concerned. Abhimani Foundation has come forward and conducted awareness camps on Tribal Belt villages and also created mass awareness on Masquito Control  in parvathipuram Divisional area.

Organ Donation programme:

Organ Transplatation is a life saving procedure and a large number of patients with end stage organ failure are waiting to undergo  organ transplantation. Majarity of end stage organ failure patients in india die with in months after diagnosis because organ replacement therapy  is either not available or not affordable. The deceased organ donation rate in india is 0.08per million population and the overall patients of organ donation following brain death is extreamly high. Transplantation of Human Organs Act 1995 is an enabling legislation as  far as deceased donor transplantation is concerned. The Abhimani Foundation came forward to create mass awareness in parvathipuram divisional area.

The Abhimani Foundation conducted Seva Kiranam Programme in  Govt Hostels on Sundays inview of to eradicate loneliness.

Summer Camp:

The Abhimani Foundation  has been specially designed to motivate students towards sports, as an extra-curricular pursuit. This is primarily aimed at identifying talented students and providing them with special training for participation in various sports & Games events like the 100 Mts, 200 Mts, Kho –Kho, Kabaddi, shuttle, Badminton etc . We hope that this programme will also provide a platform that would help channel their energy towards physical fitness and health.

Grama Kiranalu :

There is an urgent need for civil society to promote poverty eradication, education in village level. This will ensure that future generations do not have to suffer  TheGrama Kiranalu is a serious endeavor to empower rural communities to eradicate poverty and improve their quality of life.

If we all contributed with one small thing that we can change in our daily living routines to help with the protection of the earth, perhaps we could, as a collective, make a substantial impact for the better.

One way to go green and contribute to the preservation of our environment is sometimes riding a bicycle instead of starting up the car or motorcycle. Driving and operating vehicles is one thing that many countless people do on a daily basis that harms the environment. 

Exhaust from cars damages the ozone in a irreparable manner. What we do to the ozone negatively can not be repaired, which is why it is very important to do all that we can within our means to protect it. In addition to damaging the ozone, pollutants released by vehicles that run on combustion engines affects the health of human beings rather adversely.

Air pollutants damage not just the ozone layer, but also the lungs and respiratory systems of people. It can contribute to causing, or worsen, certain respiratory illnesses and diseases such as asthma, emphysema, COPD, and even pneumonia. Inview of that we conducted mass awareness camps on stop unnecessary utilization vehicles and save environment programmes regularly .
